Rep. Crane Takes Money from Mega Donor as his Campaign Continues to be Bankrolled by DC Elite PACs

FLAGSTAFF, AZ - Freedom Caucus Fund PAC recently dropped $180,000 on Congressman Eli Crane’s campaign, which is being bankrolled by PACs run by DC elites. It’s the latest sign that Crane is not only bought by large donors and corporations, but he’s concerned about his reelection chances facing grassroots candidate and proven overperformer Jonathan Nez.

This campaign season is defined by a water crisis worsened by Crane, high prices caused by Crane’s failed policies, and healthcare cuts that are worrying the people of Arizona.

“Crane isn’t working for rural Arizona, he’s working for the DC elites that fund his campaigns year after year. As data centers suck up our water and Arizonans are now paying $6 a gallon for diesel, Crane has voted for massive tax breaks to data centers and voted over five times for a reckless war raising our prices and putting servicemembers at risk,” said Nez. “These are the consequences of Congressman Crane and the broken Washington establishment funding his campaign, and Arizona families are paying the price.”

Since Crane won his reelection bid last cycle, he has voted numerous times to continue the expensive and deadly war in Iran, conceal the Epstein files, end food stamps assistance for children, and support harmful tariffs that hurt small business and families.

Families are spending roughly $1,200 extra per household to fund the war. Diesel has surpassed a record-high $6 dollars per gallon.

Meanwhile, tariffs are on pace to cost families $2,500 extra this year. Grocery store prices are up 2.7% compared to last year.

Plus, healthcare costs are expected to rise exponentially, in part because of medicare cuts Crane voted for.

Recent polling shows Crane’s support is slipping among the voters who put him in office.

Nez, who outperformed his Democratic counterparts in 2024, is once again defying expectations, and exposing just how vulnerable Crane is.

The polls show Nez is winning where it counts. He holds a 22-point lead among independents and a 10-point lead among voters who recognize both candidates.
