Jonathan Nez Issues a Statement in Response to Attack Misidentifying Him
FLAGSTAFF, AZ - In response to a new attack ad from the Trump-aligned super PAC No Going Back PAC Inc. that repeatedly misidentifies Nez for a different Navajo leader, former Navajo Nation President Jonathan Nez has issued the following statement:
“Eli Crane and his billionaire backers are so scared of an Indigenous sheepherder from Shonto, Arizona, they rushed a $700k ad against me. But they care so little about the voters of AZ-02 they couldn’t get it right. The voters of AZ-02 are tired of their broken promises and disregard for the real challenges they are facing. I guess they don’t care to know my face, but on November 3rd they’ll hear my voice.”
The super PAC is pouring in more than half a million dollars to attack Nez with its new ad. The news comes after the Nez campaign released polling showing the race to be effectively tied.
